This lunch and learn is sponsored by Warner Robinson LLC, a KC firm and member of KCHBA that specializes in the 45L Energy Efficient Home Tax Credit. This credit is available to home builders and multifamily developers and is worth $2,000 per home or unit as a federal tax credit for utilizing energy efficient components in construction. Many developers can go back three years and capture these credits for homes sold if they have not already looked into this program. Bruce Warner, Managing Director of Warner Robinson, will present an overview of how this federal program works, what the energy efficient components are based on, how the computation and software modeling works, and provide a legislative update on the enhancement to this program under the Build Back Better Act, plus address other energy related incentives to developers.
